Acupuncture is a 3,000-year-old form of medicine that has been used by more than 8 million Americans. During a treatment very thin, solid, hair-like, needles are inserted at specific points on the body. The stimulation of these acupuncture points affects the body's central and peripheral nervous systems. It triggers the release of the body's internal chemicals such as endorphins and enkephalins, which have pain-relieving properties. Killeen TX Acupuncture is efficient, comfortable, relaxing, and extremely effective.

ACUPUNCTURE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Acupuncture does two main things: increases blood circulation to anywhere in the body and re-trains your brain to heal itself. At Anthony Medical & Chiropractic Center - Killeen we have developed an acupuncture technique that allows us to produce quick results for our patients. Read on to get your questions answered.

Acupuncture pins are hair thin. In fact, they are thinner than a Cat's Whiskers. You will usually feel a little sting when the pins are inserted.

After the insertion of the acupuncture pins you will feel a very unique sensation. Each person may experience different sensations, but the most common sensations: heaviness, tingling, numbness, aching, soreness, warmth or nothing at all. Should you experience any discomfort, inform the Acupuncturist and they will adjust the pins accordingly. When performed by a trained licensed professional, acupuncture is extremely safe. Only sterile and disposable pins are used here at Anthony Medical & Chiropractic Center.

With Acupuncture you get SIDE BENEFITS not side effects!
